Hi cuties!!
In this post I’m going to be talking about my updated travel fees for 2023. As I’m turning my brand towards more inclusion for travel friendly couples, destination weddings, and couples desiring elopements, this calls for a dedicated offering and transparent costs for travel. If you’re like me, you like having all the details when planning and I want to make sure you have them! I am based out of Richmond, Virginia so make sure to use Richmond as one point of location when looking up your travel details.
Let’s get right down to it!
0 – 150 miles one way will incur charges for: mileage at the current standard reimbursement rate of $0.625/mile.
*This charge will be added onto your wedding package invoice to be paid by the wedding invoice due date.
151 – 350 miles one way will incur charges for: mileage reimbursement at the current standard reimbursement rate of $0.625/mile and lodging for 2 nights at a rate of $150/night (night before wedding day and night of wedding day).
*These charges will be added onto your wedding package invoice to be paid by the wedding invoice due date.
351 miles+ one way will incur charges for: roundtrip flights from Richmond, Virginia (RIC airport) to city of venue destination (2 flights if package is booked with 2 photographers or 1 photographer with add on videography), car rental with mileage reimbursement at the current standard reimbursement rate of $0.625/mile and lodging for 2 nights (night before wedding day and night of wedding day).
*These charges are able to be paid 1 of 2 ways – 1) a flat $1200 travel fee to be paid by the wedding invoice due date ; 2) all travel charges will be retroactively billed once the wedding day is complete and due within 1 week after wedding date. Note that any photos or videos including sneak peeks will not be delivered until this invoice is paid.
If you fall into a tier that has lodging or flight charges, rest assured that this is not something that I will be adding onto your plate to book! I do book all my own flights, car rentals and lodging. This is to make things simpler for you and to also ensure that all travel information is entered correctly and accessible to me. We don’t want anything to keep me from reaching you and your wedding day!
If you are unsure how to go about deciding what tier you are in consider these examples. EXAMPLE: if your venue is 72 miles one direction then you will be charged in Tier 1 . If your venue is 163 miles one direction then you fall into Tier 2. If your venue is 351+ miles one direction Be sure to utilize Google maps to see which tier you fall into as Google Maps will let you know the shortest route and sometimes that will make the difference as to which tier you fall into!
If you have questions or are unsure about which travel tier you’d be in, don’t hesitate to reach out to me and I will be happy to assist!
