You already decided that you want to go with us here at KGP for your wedding photography. WE ARE THRILLED!!! Buuuuut you kind of also want to have a wedding video. When I was planning my wedding, I was exactly the same. I wanted both. While it was a bit stressful to find two different vendors with the similar style we did eventually make it happen. So it most definitely can be done.
But do you really have to go through all that work? I mean you’re already planning a WEDDING for pete’s sake. That is stressful enough. Why not let us take all your media needs off your to do list? With our clients and future couples in mind, we took our personal experience into consideration when deciding to officially offer videography services as an add-on!! Let me tell you, we are SO stoked!
Now, let me tell you the top 5 benefits of choosing a photography team that offers videography (like us!). Imma lay em out for ya.
First, the videography is done by us, and by us I mean by myself and Kenny. We aren’t sub-contracting this privilege out to anyone, which ensures that your wedding video matches your wedding gallery stylistically. Instead of you trying to spend countless hours tracking down another media team with the similar style as your carefully selected wedding photographer, just choose a team from the start that does both in the same style. How odd is it if you have wedding photos like ours full of light, emotion, vibrant color, and crisp blacks and whites but then hire a videographer who does moodier, dramatic, dark videos. Not saying those can’t also be beautiful, but it envokes a different not always better feeling than your wedding photo gallery does. We like to make sure all styles are congruent.
Second, it saves you time. We know your time is precious and especially so when you are working a full time job, trying to spend time with friends and family, take your doggies on walks, run errands, do house chores or yard work AND planning your dream wedding. You also spent a great deal of time carefully considering what wedding photographers to capture your day, and you absolutely deserve to have a media team that gives the same level of attention to detail and care to your wedding day experience.
Third, it saves you money and stress. We understand that you are conscious of your wedding budget while also wanting to have your special day captured to utter perfection. By adding a wedding video to your wedding package with us, you’re essentially booking 2 professional wedding vendor teams in 1. That’s 1 contract, 1 invoice to keep track of, 1 team communicating with your wedding coordinator. Adding onto your wedding package means that you aren’t paying or hiring another 2 people. You may wonder if we primarily are photographers if we are giving our all to your wedding video too. That’s an amazing question and one I’m happy to give you the inside scoop to. – Short answer is yes. Long answer is this. Two photographers are important to have for a lot of important moments on your wedding day. I highly do and will always recommend having two photographers. There are certain moments and wedding day events that one photographer just can’t capture alone simply due to the fact they physically can’t be 2 places at once. –This is where I’d like to introduce you to my inside scoop Crossover Theory. For the majority of the time, your main photographer (me!) is taking your photos, guiding you, encouraging you, hyping you up. Your second photographer (Kenny!) is there for those moments and wedding day events that need the additional perspective, the situations where I need to be two places at once, etc. Kenny is also the main videographer, making me the second videographer like he is my second photographer.
I’m the main photographer, Kenny is the main videographer
Kenny covers the photography moments that I need an additional photographer for
I cover the videography moments that he needs an additional videographer for
We crossover and meet in the middle to cover your wedding day in its entirety for both photo AND video. 🙂
Fourth, the amount of people with you… all….day…long…. Say you don’t go with us for your videography. That’s ok, no hard feelings! But hear me out. When you book us for your photography, you’re getting two people. Me and Kenny. Now you want videographers too right? The majority of professional videographers in the area will also be two people. The main videographer, and a second videographer or assistant. That means that there’s going to be 4, yes FOUR people following you around all day. That’s two different lead people giving you directions, and that’s 2 different lead people who can possibly be stepping over each other during your ceremony in order to ensure they’re each getting what they need for each of their jobs, 2 people with the bride getting ready, and 2 people with the groom getting ready. Thats 4 people trying to get the same angle all day long. Thats 4 people asking you to do something repeatedly. And when you are looking for candid photos and documentary styled video, it can be chaotic. I’m not saying it can’t be done, because we have before! But it can be chaotic, really time consuming when it comes to your portraits, and mainly just plain unenjoyable and worrisome for you! What’s more is sometimes due to professional or workflow differences, we can’t guarantee the professionalism or kindness or even the delivery of your wedding video of a different media team despite wishing to. While we pride OURSELVES in making your wedding photos and videos fun and your entire experience with us enjoyable, to our dismay our previous couples haven’t felt that when having chosen to go with an outside videography team. And we are not about that at ALL.
Fifth, no confusion for you. Now what do I mean by that? Well, I touched on it in reason 4. Different people giving you different directions. Having me and Kenny as your media team means you are getting a husband and wife that have been together 8 years. That’s 8 years of us knowing each other, how we think and how we work and what feelings we are going for. That’s also working years of us knowing the others work flow, different guidances that work for photos AND videos, how much space we physically need while being conscious of the others work bubble down the aisle, being able to kind of read each others mind as to what’s coming next, communicate silently across a ceremony crowd as to where to go or what to capture, and the two of us are able to literally be camera overtop of camera walking so fast down the ceremony aisle as you exit WITHOUT stumbling over each other or getting in the others shot. All of those married people woowoo telepathy vibes play to YOUR benefit on your wedding day. We’re literally the best team for your media needs, we work the best together, you don’t have to worry about vendor drama and you don’t have so many people saying “hey look this way, no this way, no I need them over here”… just no. That’s a GIANT headache for you and makes it so unenjoyable for you. We aren’t about that.
I could go on and on, but these are just the top 5 reasons to add on wedding videography to your photography package with us 🙂 Now that you’re ready to move forward with us for your wedding videography, when booking and sending over your wedding day details, be sure to let me know you want to add on videography services to your package!
